RZD to introduce special non-refundable tariffs
Russia's Ministry of Transportation has published a draft for a new legislature that introduces rail non-refundable rail tickets. Non-refundable option has not been available before.
The text of the proposed legislature states that the Russian rail authority would have an option of setting up as much as 50% of all tariffs as non-refundable. This legislature, according to its authors, was proposed with the goal of decreasing costs of travel to long-haul passengers.
This news should help save money to passengers who plan ahead of time. In the meantime, Russia rail authority had already announced about a system-wide increase of approximately 15% for all types of rail tickets.
